On January 6, 2021, the FBI explicitly chose to abandon a sting on a child pornographer in Virginia who was messaging with an undercover agent about having sex with a nine-year-old boy, opting instead to focus on prosecuting Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol. Less than three years later, the FBI discovered the same man living in Alaska where he appears to have been performing sex acts on a 10-year-old boy, according to court documents.
The man was only arrested, and the court documents only filed, because Welsh moved to Alaska and crossed the Anchorage FBI’s radar in an unrelated perversion investigation.
“Cases that check the boxes, the concern is only those will get appropriate attention,” he told The Daily Wire. “When you use politics to guide your law enforcement priorities, it necessarily means that public safety takes a back seat.”
If, somehow, Trump or another R manages to beat the margin of fraud, they should have the AG drop all remaining pending charges/investigations, pardon all non-violent convictions and commute any sentences for even violent offenses.

Perna was present at the protest on January 6 and he did walk into the Capitol. There was never any evidence that he did anything violent, not even from the witch-hunting J6 Committee. But he was still arrested (actually, he turned himself in). He was charged with four misdemeanor counts related to entering the building illegally and obstructing the official business of the government. Like many J6 defendants, he was urged to plead guilty, with the promise of a light sentence. That was a lie. After his plea, prosecutors told his attorney that they were adding a domestic terrorism enhancement to his charges. Those misdemeanors were now felonies and he was facing nine years in prison (though the maximum sentence could have gone up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine). The actual sentence was never issued because, on February 25, 2022, Matthew Perna took his own life.Now, nearly two years later, this newly released footage shows what a farce his prosecution was and the tragedy of his suicide.
Has anyone been named that actually did that violence? I won't claim to know all the people charged, but I hadn't heard any individual was identified.
