Is Target doubling down?
« on: December 17, 2023, 12:56:34 AM »
Is Target trying to subtly continue pushing an agenda with this ad for the Christmas shopping season?  Hint: listen to the lyrics to the song.

Maybe I'm getting over sensitive to their shenanigans.

Either I have lousy speakers or my hearing is shot. I couldn't understand a word.

The ad was recorded using a cell phone pointed at a TV, then uploaded to YT.  That explains the lousy audio quality.  Like Hawk, I couldn't understand any of the theme music lyrics, even with my hearing aids set at their best response.
Given that Target is fully woke, it wouldn't surprise me if there woke crap in those ad lyrics.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

It’s just the normal retarded pop style music they put with their commercials.

Their wokeness is usually found front and center as you walk into the store

Given their child grooming, I'm never shopping there again.

Either I have lousy speakers or my hearing is shot. I couldn't understand a word.

Primary lyrics:  "I never knew there was a love like this before"

And this has what to do with Christmas?  Being from Target, I'm pretty sure they're not referring to God's love for the world.

Target does seem to be the place for new kinds of "love."

What I see is that it was uploaded by "Comment on Commercials", and comments are turned off.

What is the part I should be offended about?  Is it the unintelligible lyrics to the music in the background?

It has nothing to do with Christmas other than being a tune some people like.

The song is by R & B Grammy winner "Faith Evans" (formerly married to the late rapper Biggie Smalls)... Title "Love Like This". The original version is here on YouTube - this version is a remake/remix for Target by  artist "Rosemarie", also this FULL version can be found here on YouTube.

I much prefer that to what Verizon has done with their stupid caroler commercials.

That song (or at least the original version) has been around forever. I avoid that kind of latter-day R&B like the plague, but I've still heard it a bajillion times.
