Looks like Mr. Hogg is on his way towards setting off a bit of a civil war inside the Democratic party.

He's proposing spending $20 million to front younger challengers to established Democrats who are up for re-election and who he says are "do nothing Democrats."

I didn't think Hogg would work out very well for the DNC, but I didn't expect him to faceplant this badly.

On the other hand, I could also see this being part of a plan to convince Dem or Dem-leaning voters their party is really getting some new, game-changing leaders, and the establishment types are getting thrown out to make way for people that will truly bring about the dictatorship of the proletariat.

I was talking with a friend about this over the weekend.

He made the point that the Squad tried the same crap a couple of years ago and mucked around in a couple of Democratic primaries, to varying degrees of amusement.

This action by Mr. Hogg is a bit different.

While the Squad did it of their own volition, Hogg is trying to do it as official party policy, with official party funds. In other words, he's wanting to turn the party on itself for his own ends.

There's simply not enough popcorn for that...

It is a hell of a lot harder to effectively slow, derail, and stop Trump from crashing the economy, disappearing people, and leading our country into ruin with a weak Democratic Party. With a 27% approval rating that is where we are right now.

Hogg and other like him seem to be convinced that the reason the dem party is polling so poorly is that's it too far to the right and needs to move leftward
Hope he and other similarly thinking dems continue to run their mouths like this straight through to 2028 and beyond.

It took a few days, but the chair of the DNC finally came out and in no uncertain terms called out Hogg and told him that if he wants to direct money to promote primary infighting among Democratic candidates he needs to resign from this DNC position.

Hakeem Jeffries has also called out Hogg's statements and has joined a chorus of Democrats who are calling not for Hogg's resignation, but his out and out removal from his leadership position.

Of course Hogg is doubling down and saying his plans for backing Democratic challengers to Democratic incumbents is not out of step with DNC responsibilities...

A candidate who failed to win a Democratic National Committee leadership role is challenging her defeat — the first threat to DNC Vice Chair David Hogg since he vowed to keep backing some primary challenges to incumbents.

The DNC’s credentials committee will meet virtually on May 12 to consider the challenge from Kalyn Free, a Native American attorney and party activist who lost a vice chair spot to Hogg at the party’s Feb. 1 meeting.

The little grifter should just say he now identifies as a multi-ethnic woman of color and that will halt the entire process in its tracks because, according to Democrats, anyone can self-identify as anything and it MUST be accepted as valid.
