I wonder if there will be a civil suit filed against the shooter by the prowler's family? That is an unfortunately common result in these events as most of us know.
If they figure out who he is I am sure they will sue. WA has one of those funny laws where they shooter in a self-defense situation is shielded.
Years ago we had a road rage incident in Spokane. The guy on the receiving end did everything right, disengaged, tried to flee but the rager followed him to a parking lot and then when both were out of their cars the rager approached and punched the victim. The target of the road rage drew his legally carried pistol and put one between the eyes of the rager, stopping the threat.
Even though the family of the rager tried for years to get the shooters name the Police would never divulge the info in order to protect the shooter from harassment or law suits.
Hopefully the Tacoma PD does the same.
