A Bad Day Fishing is Better than a Good Day at Work!
« on: March 28, 2007, 07:58:36 AM »
But, a good day fishing is even better! I decided to take Tuesday morning off to see if the ice had melted at Gross Reservoir and to see if the fish were biting if liquid H2O was to be found. Almost all ice had indeed melted and I hiked in to a favorite fishing spot. I caught 12 rainbow trout in 2 hours of fishing. All were fat and all were about 16 inchs long. I also lost about 5 others and had numerous missed strikes. Total nonstop action for two hours. Then I had to hike back out and get back to work   sad.

Go ahead and rub it in.
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I'm on my way down to Gulf Shores, Alabama to do a bit of saltwater fishing.  :-D

It's sunny and 80 here.

I kept 4 of the trout that will be for dinner tonight. I can donate the heads to hide around the mtnbkr house if anyone has the keys. Anyone basking in 80 degree weather deserves to come home to a really smelly house.

Of course I have keys to his house. I already established that fact in a thread I posted here the other day looking for things that I could do to tick him off when he returns...

Hum...

Things exactly like sticking fish heads in his closet!

Ya' mean a day like this?

We were in northern Minnesota, a couple miles from the Canardian border. Seven airplanes and about 12 of us guys. I didn't have a license, so just went flyin'. Mine's the 5th (right-to-left) in the line-up; the Champ. That's me in the dark vest at the left, probably drinking coffee, the way it looks.
