Nope, getting the standard.

I'm not intending this to be a carry gun; it's going to be a house gun.

I'm also going with the Model 8310 variant, which has the thumb safety.

I thought the Security 9 came in one size.  Let us know how it goes.

I saw that Arex has a new Rex Zero 2 model out.  I am tempted to get it, but it is not cheap.

Nope, they have a full size and a compact version.

Full size is 15 rounds, compact is 10.

I handled a compact a couple of years ago before I bought the Walther and I wasn't crazy about it at all.

I don't care for the grip feel of the compact, either. The extended mag makes it into an analog of the standard grip.

Now that you mention it, I may have heard of that.  Isn't the full size still in that Glock 19 size range?

Beats me. I've not compared them side to side, and I've not actually held a 19 in a long time. Glocks just don't do it for me.

Yes. They are dimensionally almost identical.

OK, dimensionally identical. Didn't know that.

But grip wise, grabbing a Glock is like grabbing a 4x4.

Classic just listed former police carry SIG 226s in Surplus Good condition.

$800.

 :O

I'd take a 226 as a house gun in a heart beat. But not for that much.

What would you be willing to pay?  I have a 226 I'm looking to offload.  It's a 226 in .357 Sig, with a scilencerco threaded 9mm barrel, and some mags, I'd have to go count them.  I was thinking $650 ish,

I agree.  My favorite 9mm is an Arex Delta M .  Feels great in my hand and I shoot it well.  These days a lot of makers have targeted that size and improved on the grip.  I can shoot my Glock 19 okay, but never quite as good or natural feeling as other comparable pistols.

I feel the same about gripping the Glock grip, though in fairness I should probably try to handle the newer generations.

I sold it, but I used to have a 23, I guess gen2 or whenever they were introduced. I understand that gen sucked for a lot of people who ended up liking later gens.

Thanks, but I'm pretty set on the Security 9.

As I noted farther down, I'm looking for inexpensive and something I wouldn't really care if I had to give up if there were a defensive incident.
