Spooky , you need to jump out to the "Main Forums" page while you're logged in, that "friend" under your name means you're good to go.

Only "friends" can see the new forum. When you posted before, you didn't have "friend" under your screen-name, so you could not have known the forum was there. You won't need the zombie clothes, though. They can't get in.
