That's a shame.  I always like him.  Got a kick out of him co-starring with John Wayne in "El Dorado".  Rest in Peace, Mr. Caan.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

Damn. Liked him in pretty much everything he did.

RIP.

*edit to add* Cruising his IMDB page. Forgot about Alien Nation with Mandy Patinkin. Really liked that movie.

Another actor gone from the generation of actors that mostly just acted and stayed in their lane. I liked him in El Dorado too.

My wife reminded me of another good film he was in, "Misery" with Kathy Bates.

That's the role I remember best.

He was also in Eraser.

Got a kick out of him co-starring with John Wayne in "El Dorado".

Gaily bedight,
A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.

But he grew old—
This knight so bold—
And o’er his heart a shadow—
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.

And, as his strength
Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow—
‘Shadow,’ said he,
‘Where can it be—
This land of Eldorado?’

‘Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,’
The shade replied,—
‘If you seek for Eldorado!’

That's a great poem, and I really liked the way James Caan recited it in the movie.  Something I always look forward to when I watch El Dorado.
