I didn't know anyone still made those cartoons. There is probably a reason I always like military Scifi books. They normally aren't written by leftists. Only one I can think of that I liked is John Scalzi's Old Man's War. There are probably others. I don't normally research author's opinions.
For cartoons, be better to support something like the Rippaverse which just started up this week. He is a libertarian. I guess the people who would buy a new Popeye comic aren't the same customer base.
