FBI caught lying to a federal magistrate for search warrant request.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy5A8VIWmxgCulmination of a Cali case where the FBI has been caught with their pants down ... they flat-out lied to a federal magistrate to get a search warrant. The business was a safe deposit box company. The FBI said they were only concerned with the business itself, not customers' safe deposit box contents, and requested a warrant. Warrant expressly exempted SDBox contents. FBI raid includes taking safe deposit boxes, but then tries to end-around the warrant's SDBox restrictions by saying they took the SDBoxes only because they were attached to the SDB "nests" (racks, frames, and bracketry). Then, after the raid, decided they were going to claim any SDBox contents anyway even though expressly excluded in the warrant. FBI specifies any contents over $5000 be seized under asset forfeiture. Why $5000? Because that's the limit for FBI monetary forfeiture.
Never mind the warrant's restrictions an/or SDBox contents owner's involvement, or lack thereof, in criminal activity, we're taking your *expletive deleted*it and you have to prove your innocence to get it back!
Effing thugs.
