I had forgotten Larry was going to be on his show or I would have caught it live on Utreon.  I got my first AK from FBMG through Larry back in the day. 
If you have not read Monster Hunter International, it is a fun read.  I have not read all his books, but they are consistently good reads.

Almost all of Larry's books are great... the Hard Magic series is excellent too.
