Has anyone ever tried a lever action with a magazine coming in on the left side?  That wouldn't get in the way of the lever.

Lever action Sten Gun?

Just thinking you could keep most of the lever gun styling while making room for capacity.  I wasn't sure if it had been tried.  Since it isn't semi-auto, the off balance weight might not matter as much.

I've handled, but have never shot, an original FG-42. There was one (dewatted) in the collections of the Pennsylvania State Museum when I was working there as an intern in the 1980s.

It handled exceptionally well.
