Wait... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??? THE RESISTANCE IS CRUMBLING!

Eric Adams, mayor of New York, wants an invite to Trump's inauguration...

Eric Bezos and Mark Zuckerburg have both donated to the inauguration fund!

DEMOCRACY IS OVER AND THE DEMOCRATS ARE COMPLICIT!

It has been fascinating to watch the dominoes fall so quickly. I'm kinda thinking that vapid Kamala Harris' run is largely responsible for the dam suddenly breaking. All her speeches and interviews were clear demonstrations of the empty language of the radical left.

Somehow that precipitated (some of) the left to start looking at how crazy they were to embrace the most radical parts of the left, with bending the knee to the more dangerous radical ideas of BLM, gender crap, tranny child lovers, down to the just simply annoying to normal people, of crap like pronouns and being called a nazi for every minor disagreement, and nagging everyone for being bad people that have to "atone" for just being born - especially if they were born male and white.

So many of them seem to be astonished to realize that they were in a small, well-sealed echo chamber.

Adams has been talking about switching parties

I don't know if it's a new development for presidential candidates to be known mainly by their first names, but Hillary and Bernie got the same treatment. "We like Ike" was a campaign slogan, and Lincoln is often just "Honest Abe."
Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?

People use Hillary to differentiate her from Bill and her campaign did the same as in "Ready for Hillary" and other slogans.
As far as Kamala goes as was pointed out above even her own campaign did it as well.
I seem to recall people using just Jimmy for Carter.

Whether I call her Kamala or Harris, I have no respect for her either way.

Sort of thread necro. The Teamsters are apparently trying to be more open about all their poll results. I found it interesting that the electronic member and phone polls, presumably somewhat anonymous, had a large majority for Trump, but the townhall straw poll, where members might presumably be identified, went for Harris.

The plan to prevent Trump from taking office via the 14A is getting pushed again.
I expect more dems to rally behind this as we get closer to J6
Harris in the end is the one who has to ratify Trump's election and I wouldn't put it past them to try a Hail Mary pass

The Raskin plan for Congress to block Trump from taking office via the 14th Amendment is being floated again:

The op-ed on left is from today.

The video on right is Raskin from August.

OP-ED: "The Constitution provides that an oath-breaking insurrectionist is ineligible to be president. This is the plain wording of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution."

"Democrats need to take a stand against Electoral College votes for a person disqualified by the Constitution from holding office."

RASKIN: Explains that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment can be used to disqualify Trump: “It will be up to Congress on January 6, 2025 to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he’s disqualified."

Do they really not understand what right wing America would do?

Storming the capital and arresting the legislature is not outside the realm or possibilities.  Neither is a military coup to install Trump as rightfully elected president.

Forgot to put a direct link to the op-ed

Congress has the power to block Trump from taking office, but lawmakers must act now

What about those that, in taking their oaths of office claim to support and defend the Constitution, then do what they can to undermine and subvert it?  What is that? Treason??

Old timey, traditional tarring, feathering, and running out of town on a rail . . .

Trump won in 2016. And again in 2024. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

I thought they used pine tar, not hot asphalt.  OTOH, I think the rail was a lot narrower than that and would hurt like hell.

I remember reading somewhere that the tar they used back then wasn't hot enough to seriously injure or kill . . .

If only Kamala had won, because it's a known fact that women are more ethical than men.

This bigot won't shake hands with Kamala:

Are you sure about that?  Perhaps he was just so disgusted with her politics and actions that he wanted nothing to do with her.

As much as I like Jennings driving the CNN panels crazy, I kinda want him to get his own gig, where he can be less stifled by the wokeys.

Also, somebody needs to let Kinzinger know that Weight Watchers is having a New Years special.
