Classified documents found at VP Pence home

Since they are turning up everywhere, I am thinking about looking in the garage for any classified documents.

If I had classified documents I was improperly storing I'd want to get it out there in the same news cycle as everyone else too.

I've got the same feelings about Pence's documents as I do about Biden's.  I bet a thorough search of the homes and offices of just about any high ranking politician would turn up that sort of thing.

As someone who has zero practical experience with classified documents, is there a reason that Biden and Pence's attorneys aren't just wiping those documents, like with a cloth?  I'm sure that reporting them is the legally correct thing to do, but unless there was traceability to the documents it seems like illegal destruction would be far cleaner, and if there is traceability then I'd expect the tracking authority to be following up with the parties as opposed to waiting for their attorneys to dig them up.

I'm 30 years out of date but I can't imagine the rules changing all that much.
I was SECRET material custodian on my first boat and TOP SECRET/SCI custodian on my last boat. So yeah, I knew the rules and regs associated with the storage, handling and control of classified material as well as the consequences of mishandling/losing the material whether intentional or otherwise.
This crap is indicative of a much deeper problem.

Yup, I still remember when Hillary became SECSTATE and the next thing you know, her freakin' assistants were entering SCIFs with their iPhones.

I can't help but put on tinfoil and wonder if more people aren't going to be coming out with, "Oh by the way" in order to dilute the pressure on Biden. A lot more than extremists are starting to question the handling of this (and stonewalling by the White House) as compared to Trump. I can see back room deals being made with guys like Pence to steer the narrative.

Pence should be prosecuted along with Biden.  As a cleared employee for the government, if I had one secret document in an unsecured area (office or home) I’d be in deep sh*t!

I wonder how long until some minor government employees - anyone from congressional pages on up - start stamping a red "TOP SECRET" on every piece of paper they come across in their daily duties.
