Some people can really be aholes.

WTF is going on in NC?  First the shooting of the power substations, which is still happening, and now this.

Some people can really be aholes.

And they're why we have to have laws.

This is one of those things where laws are overrated. The SOB that's doing this needs to be tied up in a swamp to feed the mosquitoes for a couple weeks.

I was referring to a-holes in general.
But yeah overall I agree, except maybe replace mosquitoes with alligators  >:D

I would be good with that.  And there are supposed to be alligators in the southeast part of NC.
I'm going to be checking the pump handles from here on out when I pump gas.  This is taking place a ways from my neck of the woods, about 45 miles away, but it wouldn't surprise me if it migrates over here.

If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

I've been to Florida hundreds of time and never saw a 'gator.   The first alligator I saw "in the wild" was in a city park in Wilmington, NC.  That just freaked me out because I wasn't expecting to see a gator in a city park in NC.

I wonder if this is some kind of misguided protest against gas powered vehicles?

Judging from the quality of thinking from leftists in general, I can see this as a possibility.

It's definitely a possibility. I've heard of people in Europe with SUV getting keyed or slashed tires... although in that case it's more about people parking like a-holes or perceived to be taking up too much space than the environment, but still basically an anti-car protest.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

And here. We were discussing it not too long ago.

They were drilling that danger into our heads when I was little.  Sort of sad as I look back as I get the impression few people make homemade candy/treats anymore.  The people messing with pill bottles happened about that time as well.

I'll be very disappointed if that isn't already the punchline of a really good bad joke.

yup, the first gator in the wild I ever saw was in NC.
It was the seventies and I was a young teen from NYC walking around, a small pond had a sign saying something like "do not harass the alligator - it can be dangerous .... "  after waiting around awhile I finally saw the gator and threw a rock so it would land near it ... it got out of the water in a second and was right at my feet with its mouth open wide and hissing before I could move.

I learned my lesson, I never harassed a gator again and I never will.

Hopefully surveillance will catch the culprit with the razor

Getting back to the OP . . . it's just plain depraved conduct to be setting harmful booby traps for random men & women just going about their daily tasks in a peaceful manner.

We have far "better" surveillance than we used to in the 80's there was the Tylenol poisonings of 82 and 86 - the 86 poisoning in Yonkers, NY killed some State Troopers family members that were close to my late father . The 82 poisonings/tamperings killed more folks in Chicago iirc.
afaik those cases were never solved.

Who ever is doing this may escalate, I'm sure the cops could catch him if they had a mind to
