Seems like a cool toy but looks like a mechanical a-hole and I can't figure out a practical use for one.

There are better utilitarian vehicles for mud and snow, which seemed to be the purpose the Germans used the kettenkrad for.

Put wheels instead of skis on a snowmobile and you would have something similar but probably easier to drive.
