Not guilty verdict in Manuel Ellis case in Tacoma
« on: December 21, 2023, 06:27:15 PM »
https://abcnews.go.com/US/jury-verdict-trial-3-officers-charged-manuel-ellis-death-washington/story?id=105775530

This was the 'George Floyd' case of the Seattle area and the first case brought under a new state law allowing police to be charged for killing someone in the course of their duties. Somewhat to my surprise, all three officers were found not guilty of all charges.

My wife and I are watching the live local news.  There is currently (1620 hours) a small rally in downtown Tacoma of maybe 40 people milling around in a street intersection. About 70% of the crowd looks to be 30 years old and up white people.

generally, summertime is burn/loot season.
winter you stay at home watching TV and stocking up on anger and hatred
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".
