Minneapolis DFL Party unable to select candidate due to diversity

It appears that during a DFL Party event to select a candidate for Minneapolis city council, one of the Somali candidates and his supporters decided to just go back to their roots and beat the opposition into submission.  It hasn't worked yet, as Party Apparatchiks called a halt to the event, saying "This is not how we do business!  You burn buildings down in masks, at night!  We don't just riot where everyone can see you!" **

My wife's family has a bunch of ties to the Twin Cities, and we used to get up there every two years or so.  I can just imagine the next trip's planning:

"Hey, Dogmush, Want to go visit the parents and Uncle in MPLS?"

"Yeah Honey, mother*expletive deleted*ing Irene!!"

IT vendor show last week.  One of the presenters was talking about his company's cloud thingee.  "Our data centers are in the upper Midwest, nothing happens there."   He's thinking earthquakes and hurricanes.  And I'm thinking, "Minneapolis, riots."   (Turns out he was talking about Michigan.)
