U.S. soldier Travis King will be 'expelled' from North Korea after two months in custody, state media announced Wednesday. The North Korean news agency KCNA reported that King is being removed from the country because of his 'illegal entry' in July when he broke free from a tour group viewing the DMZ and made a made dash to the communist country. Officials in the country said that they had concluding their 'questioning' of King and said that he sought refuge in North Korea because he harbored 'ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination' in the U.S. Military. There have been no statements from the U.S. on King's impending release. It's not clear where Private King, 23, will be sent, nor when exactly he will be released. The rogue state infamously has almost non-existent diplomatic relations with its neighbors, with the notable exceptions of Russia and China. There have been no details released regarding King's health nor has been seen since July
So this time, I bet the Army is not trusting him to get on the plane by himself to fly back to Ft. Hood for NJP. He probably has an escort now.
Think he'll get an invite to the WH?
I'm sure that boy will.
Senior US administration officials confirmed that Private King had been transferred to US custody in China.
His condition and the details of his confinement in North Korea remain unclear.
Am I a bad person for having forgotten all about this nutcase?

Wow, when even North Korea doesn't value you enough to be leverage...
The Army private who fled to North Korea before being returned home to the United States last month has been charged with desertion and child pornography. Private Travis King, 23, was detained by the US military and is facing charges including desertion and possessing sexual images of a child, among other crimes. The charges have not been publicly announced, but officials confirmed eight counts against King.
Desertion is a serious charge that can result in a three-year prison sentence.King is also accused of kicking and punching other officers last year, unlawfully possessing alcohol, making a false statement and possessing a video of a child engaged in sexual activity, according to AP. That allegation dates to July 10, the same day he was released from a South Korean prison where he had served nearly two months on assault charges.
The charging document does not provide significant detail on any of the allegations, though it does accuse King of knowingly possessing a video of a child engaging in sexual conduct last July 10 and says that he solicited a user of Snapchat, a social media platform, to produce images of underage sexual activity.Sean Timmons, an attorney who specializes in military law at the Tully Rinckey law firm and who reviewed the charging document, said all the transactions that occurred on Snapchat were not secure or private and were accessible by the government.'He probably reasonably believed his illegal conduct would have no evidentiary trail, but Snapchat actually saves everything,' Timmons said to AP.
Apparently he's being facing child porn charges among other thingsTravis King, who crossed into North Korea before returning to US, charged with desertion and possession of child pornhttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12652213/Travis-King-North-Korea-charges-desertion.html
