Traffic Stop With Sex Offender

I saw this on the youtubz. It recently occurred in Texas. The short video brought up several key things for me:

1) That's a lot of shooting with no hits by the cop. I'm not digging on her in a stressful situation. For me, it's more about another data point against "no honest man...".

2) Another court system failure. This guy should never have been let out, yet he was, lots of times. It took a bullet to stop the madness.

3) That must have been a hooker (or call girl, since she survived) or a moron in the car with him. What sane woman gets into a car with a guy who looks like that?

Good grief! Obviously, police officers must have qualified immunity under the "You own every bullet that leaves your firearm" doctrine. At around the 1:00 mark, she wasn't aiming, she wasn't even really pointing. She was just sprayin' and prayin'.

And how about those stats, amIrite? "Violent crime" is down 12% and murders are UP 6% over last year ... but they're heading in the right direction. I dunno -- I suspect is you could ask the murder victims, they'd probably agree it's better to be punched or kicked than snuffed.
