Most Common Dreams by Country
« on: November 11, 2023, 08:28:08 AM »
They supposedly got this via Google search statistics, but it sure seems weird to me with all the "teeth falling out" dreams. I notice this was done in the UK, and everybody makes fun of British teeth, and all the "teeth falling out" countries seem to have a historical connection to Britain.

Anyways, I don't believe I've ever had a "teeth falling out" dream. If I were to psychoanalyze myself, and I don't know if this might be common with gunowners, but I think my most frequent (I'm assuming from the graphic that they're looking at unpleasant dreams vs pleasant or neutral) dreams involve me needing to use a gun, but I can't. Usually either no matter how hard I press, I can't pull the trigger all the way back, or the gun just doesn't work. Probably my second most frequent is something bad happening to me in the water - either sucked underwater, or some ginormous wave engulfs me (and then I wake up). I'm assuming that whatever they mean, the scenario is connected to all the time I have spent on and under the water in my life.

Sorry the image is so ginormous - anything smaller is too hard to see.

Never dreamt about teeth falling out.

Permission to laugh at the following is granted in advance:

I've noticed and experimentally documented that something in my favorite (Hormel) pepperoni slices makes me dream --or maybe just makes me remember them if I wolf down five or six slices before bedtime.  (I rarely dream in the first place --or maybe I just forget them, without the pepperoni)

All quite pleasant except for one dreaming about getting lost in a big city and one where I could not find a bathroom.  (Woke up from those two, no problem.)

A couple of years ago I mentioned that eating carrots gave me the hiccups and it turned out that someone's wife also had that problem.  So it wasn't unique at all.

So.  Hormel pepperoni eaters?

Getting lost is by far my most common dream

So Ghana and Nigeria are only 2 with sex dreams?  That seems implausible.

Stairs?  Peacocks?  This can't be serious.

Their teeth already fell out so....

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Maybe that U.S. dream is because people are finally realizing that "American Power" has become a toothless old man.
“I have little patience with people who take the Bill of Rights for granted.  The Bill of Rights, contained in the first ten amendments to the Constitution, is every American’s guarantee of freedom.” - - President Harry S. Truman, “Years of Trial and Hope”

It's not toothless. It's brainless.

It's like a dog being trained on treats.  Doesn't need to think.

Feel free to play with that analogy.

I very seldom remember my dreams. If I do remember them they fade quickly. When I was taking a statin (rosuvastatin) I was having very vivid dreams and then the only ones I remembered for any length of time was where I was stabbed, shot, parachute didn't open, you know, the ones where I died. I only took that stuff for a couple of weeks, I was dreaming vividly and waking up every night.

For me, the worst dream is always that I’m on an escalator in subway and I can’t stay on it - I’m gradually sliding down...

Weird one last night.
I'm riding in the back seat, Daughter#1 driving, wife shotgun. We're riding along some vaguely familiar lakeside road.
She takes a curve too fast, against my protestations, and puts the car into the bay.
"Roll down the windows before we sink" says I.
Kid instead hits the throttle and keeps the car on a plane. She cruises across the bay, up onto someone's lawn or boat ramp or driveaway.
"Drag the brakes, they're probably wet" says I
Kid instead hits the throttle and down the road we go.

A lot of my dreams are automotive - driving somewhere on a road with no speed limit, going somewhere and the road is closed, there's a BIG pothole to get around, I somehow drove into a bad - really bad - neighborhood, etc.

Teeth falling out? Nope.
Trump won in 2016. And again in 2024. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.
