I don't think it's really all that secret. Where it's parked, contractors and all kinds of people can see it when they're on base.

I wonder if someone wanted the Chicoms/Russkies/Norks to see this, much in the same way that someone wanted the Germans to see the inflatable decoy tanks in different parts of England before D-Day.

Do any of you remember the old "Voyage to the Bottom of the Seas" from the early 60s?  Do you remember the "flying sub" they had on the show in its last year or two?  Bright yellow and looked like a manta ray without the tail.
