I saw a thing on X claiming a bunch of moderate left candidates dropped out at the last minute, paving the way for Socialists to take a bunch of seats.  Tweet claimed it was the result of a back room deal by Macron.

I have no idea how accurate that may or may not be.

Between this, and the UK's recent Elections the statists are doing much better than it looked li,e they were a week or so ago.  It'll be interesting to see what the Socialists do in France with their new power.  If we see things being nationalized we'll know what the deal was.

They're trying to push a 90% tax on the "wealthy" in France now . Yeah, lets see how that works out.
Of course if they managed to get that passed it'll be the wealty's fault when France goes into the toilet.

Been very little coverage of the anti-migrant riots in England after several girls were stabbed and the event blamed on migrants thought the placing of blame may be at least partially misplaced. The event never the less seem to have started something.
