I work with operators.  They work 12 hour shifts running the plant where I work.  Well paid if you don't mind shift work.

New video out. Wow they screwed up that day.

https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1818702426683457818
I just saw that.  That is incredible.  Walking around on the roof in full view.  They had to have seen the rifle.

IMO, that means someone was telling the snipers to hold their fire.  I don't think they would mistake him for a police officer.  I don't know why the snipers would not fire when they saw the rifle pointed at Trump.

And someone in charge there didn't get Trump off the stage.  Could be incompetence, but it is very easy to move to intentional.

I always found "operator" to be a pretty pretentious title.  Maybe not everyone agrees.  IMO, they want to downplay their job.  If their business card said "sniper", I can only imagine the questions and comments they would get in life outside of work.  Technician sounds more mundane.
Operator is pretentious now, but at the time they started using it most people assumed they answered telephones.

Did they ever figure out a motive for the assassin?

I remain astounded by the rules of engagement that people are claiming are in effect.  I am incredulous that the Secret Service is hampered by a "do not fire until fired upon" mandate.

They have a reputation of being willing to trample/maim/kill anyone in the process of protecting their Principle, quadruple-plus-so if that Principle is a Head of State and to the Nth degree if it's POTUS.  Law doesn't matter, and the entire world is an active battlefront.  It just needs to be subtle until the lead is actually moving, then subtlety is for losers.

Well this is an interesting headline from CNBC...

Amazon says distraction of Olympics, Trump assassination attempt contributed to weak forecast

I'm sure that Trump felt that someone shooting at him was a distraction.

Cory Comperatore was unavailable for comment.

Zuckerberg did apologize to Trump, but I seriously doubt he is not voting Democrat.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

He may vote Democrat, but that's not the same thing as "supporting" or endorsing.

Delusional and hysterical.

Regardless, it's a good prop for the rallies. He'll probably pay somebody to drive it around the swing states for the next few months. Or maybe the drivers will pay him.

I don't know how accurate this is, but it could be a sticky wicket investigation-wise from the political correctness perspective. The story suggests that the SAIC for the team was an unqualified female. From the toxic male perspective, I wonder if those inept women in all the clips were friends of hers from whatever Homeland office she pulled them from?

Mrgunsngear posted yesterday that whistleblower comments indicated that event was the first time counter snipers were present at a Trump rally.  His comment was that it raises a whole new set of questions/theories as to why that was the case.  Also mentioned only the locals had radios at all.

FBI let suspect in plot to kill Trump into U.S. on parole despite terror ties, Iran trip, memos show
https://justthenews.com/government/security/fbi-let-suspect-plot-kill-trump-us-parole-despite-terror-ties-iran-trip-memos

Quote
he FBI allowed Asif Raza Merchant, the Pakistani man charged with plotting with Tehran to assassinate Donald Trump and others, to enter the U.S. in April with special permission known as “significant public benefit parole” even though he was flagged on a terrorism watchlist and recently traveled to Iran, according to government documents reviewed by Just the News.

Sounds like the 911 terrorists who were let in.

Quote
Law enforcement officials who alerted Just the News to the FBI's role in April compared the parole decision to an earlier law enforcement controversy known as the "Fast and Furious" scandal in which federal agents allowed U.S. guns to flow to Mexican cartels in hopes of tracking crimes.

The parole in Merchant's case, the officials said, would allow agents to try to flip Merchant as a cooperator or try to determine why he was coming to the United States and who he might be working with. But such tactics also carried a risk that agents might lose track of him, the officials said.

The records show that Merchant was allowed to stay in the country beyond the May 11 expiration date for his parole.
