WB's LotR "War of the Rohirrim" Animated Film

I have tentative good vibes about it.  No allegiance to the Amazon Rings of Power smut.  All the artwork adheres VERY closely to the Jackson films.  Keeping the film primarily focused on the doings of Men rather than Elves and Valar keeps it grounded.

I suspect this is a probe on WB's part.  Trying to see if more traditional takes on Tolkien are welcome and successful, on the heels of Amazon's underperformance in the same IP and all the liberties they took with it.  If it pays off, I hope to see WB and maybe Wingnut (Jackson) approach the Tolkien estate for permission for one of the remaining crown gems:  Either the Lay of Leithien, or the tale of the Silmarils.

I have heard some talk about it.  It could be good.  I have heard some concern that they are trying to "girl boss" it with the female character who is the key to everything.  I hope not.

It does look good.

Is the story brand new, or is it based on something written by Tolkien?

Appears to be a mix of new and Tolkien
Helm Hammerhand had three children, two sons and an unnamed daughter, and it appears they're writing this around the daughter giving her the name Hèra and inserting her into  events Tolkien wrote about in Appendix A of the books and expanding on them.
