I looked long and hard and was finally able to find a two-pack of relatively cheap LED flashlights with a simple on-off button on the tail cap. None of this press 430 times in rapid succession to go through 11,350 super tactical lighting modes!

On and *expletive deleted*ing off is all I want.

Those are the flashlights I recommended to you some time back.  When I ordered mine a few years ago they each came with an adapter that allowed the use of three AAA batteries in the flashlight.  Take out the adapter and slide in the plastic sleeve that came with it and you could use a Li-Ion 18650 instead.  I don't know if they still come with the sleeve.
I stashed the AAA battery adapters in case I need them in the future and just use 18650 batteries now.
You can also focus the beam from wide to narrow by just sliding the front ring back and forth.
To give you and idea how low Bidenflation has been, I paid just $14 when I bought my pair back in December 2020.

"Those are the flashlights I recommended to you some time back."

Oh, cool. I remember we've had various discussions about flashlights over the many years, but obviously your recommendation finally hit the mark for me because of the single function switch.

These also came with the sleeve and adapter. I have the sleeve and an 18650 battery in one and the AAA adapter in the one I keep in the house.

When I bought them in July 2022 they were $19.95.

Just installed the 9v LED in the 3D cell light.  What a difference.  It does have a dark spot, but the incandescent bulb had a small one anyway.  The flashlight will light up the back fence, somewhere around 75 yards from the house.  SWMBO was impressed seeing the difference inside the house.  If she's happy, I'm happy.
