PSO/PSOP scope eyecup

Kind of a curiosity question as much as anything but for those with PSO/PSOP scopes do you use it with or without the eyecup? And if so which style, the flat or "Pig Ear" style?
I have 3 and I can never get use to the feel of the rubber eyecup pressed up against around my eyeball so I tend to leave them off.
