I suspended my Hulu account for the last few months and it just now reactivated and now it's apparently Disney and it won't let me back in until I create a Disney account. I'm giving it a throwaway email address, logging in, and just canceling it. FU Disney.

Uhm...

Disney was involved in the original launch of Hulu back in 2007.

And has been the majority owner of Hulu since 2019.

I knew that before I signed on to Hulu +Live last year to replace my Verizon FIOS TV, which had gotten just insanely expensive. By going to Hulu +Live I'm getting all of the local channels that I had with Fios (plus a couple that Verizon moved to higher end packages), I'm getting Hulu and Disney content (yeah, I like the Star Wars stuff, sue me) and I'm paying almost 70% less than what I was paying for Verizon TV.

My complaint is that for some reason I had to create a "MyDisney" account when it reactivated this time.

Nope,  It was in the terms and conditions part, next to agreeing to mediation when a Disney Employee molests Steve:  You can never fully cancel, you belong to the Mouse, and your life is over.

Hmmm . . . and because my Spectrum CATV prices have risen absurdly, I've been thinking of cutting the cable and moving to either Hulu or Youtube streaming service . . .

Despite my hate of Google, I'm looking at signing up for the pay youtube. Seems like the vast majority of my content is from there nowadays. I've still got Netflix and Amazon Prime, but I can't even remember the last time I opened up Netflix. I'm watching youtube every day, and the pay side is actually reasonably priced.
