The Internet Archive Just Lost a Half Million Books

A court ruling (being appealed) forced the Internet Archive to remove over a half million books from their website. It's worth noting that "1984" was one of them.

The Internet Archive, including the Wayback Machine, is (or maybe was) one of the last bastions of uncensored and unmanipulated electronically stored literature and film in the world. It will be sad if it falls.
