Sufficiently energy dense batteries are still the issue, as far as I am aware.
DARPA has been working the issue for a long while now.

I was interested in the OP's tool, until reading that it's only good for working above the waist. Thought it would come in handy when lifting heavy loads off the deck, unfortunately, it won't.
