And if that Tesla took 7 bullets there's no way in hell that I would want to park it near anything flammable or inside an enclosed structure. Could end up finding out about battery damage the hard way.

And... I'm thinking that the damage to this guy's nice, expensive Tesla won't be covered by insurance because he was charged with a crime in which it was damaged.

If Washington Republicans could run some good candidates, we could see some change in the state. But I am not holding my breath and I am still voting for Reichert even though he is not the Republican candidate endorsed by the state Republican party.

I wonder if the Tesla driver has been following the news that Elon and Trump are buddies now? I bet this is the type of person you could subtly suggest that anyone who drives a Tesla is a defacto Trump supporter and her head would explode. :)

As far as the Tesla getting shot it made me think of how I would want to shoot one, either angle down into the battery pack or try a ricochet off of the road into the battery pack. But yea, I would be parking that one all by itself way out in the middle of nowhere but I doubt the owner would think of such things.

I suspect that the pan on which the batteries sit is pretty sturdy. You want it to be to protect against anything you might run over.

Otherwise, I'd suspect the rest would be pretty light weight. Just covers.

And I'm wondering if damage to the wiring, and not to the batteries themselves, could be enough to start a chain failure.

Last weekend on Saturday a fellow was killed by a hit-and-run driver, around a mile from our house. He was a retiree, Navy vet, and he had an old dog he would take for "walks" in a stroller, while also picking up litter. My wife would often see him as she drove to work.

It was caught on video, and a suspect has been arrested.

Perd - I remember seeing that on the news.  One of the various reports I heard said Mr. Alsept was thrown about 50 feet !

Did you hear the other one about the man and dog in Soulard?  At least they were seriously hurt.  And the car had NO PLATES and still at large.

There also was a couple having a picnic this afternoon, in between the north and southbound lanes of New Halls Ferry, near the intersection with I-270. Just stretched out on the pavement with their fast food.

I called the police.

Our good BBQ restaurant closed this weekend. Grand opening was in July. 4 months.
Young guy did a ton of work on the building by the train depot. Probably invested everything he had.
What we have here is failure to communicate.

Restaurants are a poor investment.  From what I have heard, not very many last past the first year or two.

A few days ago, an EA-18 Growler went down by Mt. Rainier.  Due to terrain and weather, it took a few days to find and reach the crash site. Sadly, both crew are listed as dead.  There are no reports of the crew being found after ejection and I assume that the aircraft encountered a mountain and they were found in the cockpit.

We see the exact same aircraft flying over our house from Whidbey on their way to do practice runs in the North Cascades.

Even here is bright red Pahrump we seem to have a deranged leftie or two who believe the way to oppose the other party's candidate is to destroy their signs. It seems to be one of the hallmark symptoms of TDS.

Quote
Many of the Trump signs installed by the campaign were found knocked over with tire tread marks or in pieces, while other signs were nowhere to be found. For over three weeks, the team has been going out every day to check on their signs and replace the damaged ones.
