One of my daughters takes guitar lessons from a place in a nearby town that focuses on string instruments. They’re going to be performing Carol of the Bells at some Christmas event in town.

They’ve got violins, guitars, ukuleles, cellos, bass guitars, plus keyboards and drums. Students range in age from maybe 10 to 70+.

Listening to them practice tonight is awesome. They sound amazing. One of the younger guitarists is really showboating.

$40M worth of cocaine was just passing through.
I know one of the guys on the task force. I'm going to ask him about it next time I see him.
What we have here is failure to communicate.

Another of our local brothels has been razed to the ground. It seems that some nice lady in Texas in her quest to protect women has decided to use her money to buy up closed/abandoned brothels and raze them to the ground in the name of protecting women from human (sex) trafficking. That is a very worthwhile cause but there is a huge difference between legal brothels and illegal ones. In the legal one such as in Nevada the women are free to come and go as they please.

This brothel has a little history, the former owner Dennis Hof died out there but even after death he was elected to the State Assembly, his girlfriend Heidi Fleiss is still in town running a macaw sanctuary. It is also the brothel where Lamar Odom overdosed at and had to be flown to Las Vegas.

This is the second shut down brothel the Jan Jensen project has purchased here and destroyed, lock, stock and barrel.

It also had a large statue of a showgirl out front but it seems to have been taken away but no one knows where.

At least the two down the street from me are still doing a fair amount of business. :)
