This is what small town living is like, people see a way to make money and often times their common sense or sense of community goes out the window. I really hope this whole project fails, we are small and we have quite a few homeless already and it is common knowledge that many of the homeless in Las Vegas are advised to make their way here because it is easier to get services.
And that is our ongoing fight against "the man" along with fighting tooth and nail to keep solar farms at bay.

Our small town is on an Amtrak corridor line. 2.5 hours from Chicago. We never had homeless until the past 2-3 years. I have seen them getting off the train from Chicago and firmly believe that Chicago authorities give them a free ticket to be somebody else’s burden.
A town of 12,000 does not have the resources to support them but we have cheap available section 8 housing. Seems like if you flood the town with welfare types, property values go down, people that can relocate do, and just like magic you have more rental properties available.
This is the hellscape that liberal policies produce.
Solar farms? We have some. We’re getting more. But those huge wind turbines are worse. At least the solar farms are quiet and dark at night.
I live in a remote wooded valley but if I drive 1/4 mile in any direction it’s a sea of red strobes at night and a horizon filled with blades turning. Depending on wind direction, sometimes we hear the thumping sound of the big blades cutting air.
Our dumb fat ass trust fund baby governor is all in on the green agenda and pledged to make Illinois a leader in green corruption scammery.
