The Harris-Walz campaign at last posted policy positions on its website Monday, proposing a plan that would possibly result in the forced retirement of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas by next year, along with two more Republican-appointed justices before the next decade.

One of the other things she is trying to do is force open positions for her to pack the court* with suitably activist justices that will rubber stamp her crap.

*yes, I’m using that term because that’s what the left said Trump was doing when he appointed justices to fill the open seats

I saw it coming a couple of months ago when I spotted a "THE SUPREME COURT IS A TOOL OF BIG INDUSTRY" bumper sticker.  Or something similar.  The car had about 37 pounds of other "non-conservative" stickies all over the trunk lid and some on the back window.  I kind of figured that was a harbinger of things to come. Biden was still going to run again, and he had made some remark about "fixing" the Supreme Court.  When Harris entered the race I thought there would be more of that PR effort.

You may expect a PR onslaught on this matter.. That's how the "counter-conservatives" work.

They need to create more vacancies that "our guy or gal" can fill with socialist lackies.  (That is, increase the number of Justices to 9+N.)

I think we need to "unfill" the Supreme Court's socialist lackies.

And I repeat, be ready for a PR push on this issue because the schnooks will believe and the schnooks' voices will fill the media.

And the media seems to think that squeaky-wheel screechings are actual votes.

In the wake of recent rulings upending decades of precedent and evidence of unethical behavior, Wyden’s Judicial Modernization and Transparency Act would modernize the courts by expanding the Supreme Court to 15 justices over three presidential terms, prevent political inaction from bottling up nominations to the Supreme Court, and restore appropriate deference to the legislative branch by requiring a supermajority to overturn acts of Congress, among other modernizing provisions to improve access to justice.

The bill would also implement much-needed reforms to bring more accountability to the Supreme Court recusal process and improve transparency around potential financial conflicts and other unethical behavior.

Forcing retirement on SCOTUS would take a constitutional amendment. And SCOTUS could, and would, nullify some of what is being proposed. (IIRC, as an example SCOTUS exempted their salaries from the income tax shortly after it was passed, based on Article III, Section 1 " . . . The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.") Income tax of course "diminished" their compensation.
