I told one lefty "They should have set the capitol on fire, torn down the statues, looted the entire building, overturned and burned cars, and killed a couple of dozen people - then instead of an insurrection, it would've been a mostly peaceful protest."

The response included some words that don't belong in a family friendly forum like this.

Sometimes I wonder if the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it. - Mark Twain
When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.   - Frédéric Bastiat

Then they just think you're a ________-denier. Climate-denier, science-denier, insurrection-denier, etc.
Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?

"Oh, this isn't a good place to end up shouting at each other.  Besides, I already decided and mailed in my ballot yesterday.  Have you sent in all of your ballots yet?"
