Pulsepoint Emergency Incidents App
« on: October 29, 2024, 08:40:55 AM »
I just discovered this app. Pulsepoint lets you add the emergency services for your city/county and it will display in near realtime all incidents being responded to as well as a short history of responses. It's medical, fire, traffic, etc. but not police incidents. It also lets you listen to realtime radio traffic if your jurisdiction is unencrypted (my county is encrypted).

I have been using this for a while now, and I have it set such that if CPR is needed by my location, I get a notification and can respond.  I figure I can at least be the two-legged Lucas device until the big red van arrives on scene.

I do the same. I was at my desk in the ER at the VA in Spokane when I got a notification that CPR was needed/in progress at my address. I walked out into the ER and everything was normal so I looked out in the parking lot and there was a big red truck and other vehicles out there. I wandered over and found them doing CPR on a not too old, not too young female Vet who had decided the best place to make her last futile statement was our parking lot. I did learn the Fire guys had a neat tablet that had a program that timed and charted everything. It was one of the smoothest codes I have ever seen run.
