$6 billion to Rivian

Biden just gave $6 billion to Rivian to keep them from failing. Presumptively to create 7500 jobs. Which, according to Vivek's math, is $880K per job.

I'm too lazy to do the research, but adding up all the government "help" to non-Tesla Ecar makers over the last four years has to be an astounding amount of money for a miniscule amount of vehicles and infrastructure. Also, note that Rivian is only worth $10 billion right now.

Biden & Co. are spitefully trying to do as much damage as they possibly can on the way out, just like they did as soon as they got in.

Biden seems to be cut from the same cloth as Ray Blanton. Wonder if they'll make a song about him too . . .

IMHO, Rivian pickups look better than Cybertrucks - I've seen both pickups and SUVs on the road. Still, at this point, the only way I'd get a Rivian would be if I leased it, as it wouldn't surprise me if Tesla is around longer than Rivian. And that's ONLY if I wanted an electric vehicle - which I don't.

Rivian is also supplying Amazon with electric delivery vehicles.

Who remembers the 450 million dollar loan Tesla received back around 2010? It worked out well for them and they repaid the loan 10 years early. I do not expect the same from Rivian. I expect a repeat of the Obama administration loan to Solyndra (-528 million).
