Despite screeching loud and long and DEMANDING that Obama's and Biden's cabinet appointees receive 100% Republican support, they again show their hypocrisy by voting, en banc, against Pete Hegseth.

And three faithless Republicans joined the Democrats -- Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins.

Murkowski and Collins are the absolute epitome of RINOS. Murkowski is a Republican only because she represents Alaska. Collins is a Republican... I have NO clue why she's a Republican, or why the Republicans tolerate her highly liberal leaning leftist ass.

I'm betting that Collins won't vote aye on a single of Trump's cabinet appointees. Murkowski and that *expletive deleted*ing toad McConnell may vote yes for a few of them, but I'm betting they're going to be part of the resistance.

And I'm sure that the Democrats are going to be screeching bloody murder that JD Vance "violated the will of the Senate" and voted FOR someone who couldn't be approved by the Senate, fully ignoring Kamala Harris doing the same thing during her term as President of the Senate.

Going to be some fun times, and John Thune needs to do his *expletive deleted*ing job and get these three aholes in line.

He should have shown up in a dress and high heels shouting at the senate "IT'S MADAM!" while sporting "I just Had an Abortion" sticker. Would have had 100% of the D vote.

Collins is expected.
Murkowski is the result of ranked choice voting and an advertisement against it.
McConnell is just the definition of the old Republican (and democrat) establishment.

As a Kentuckian I feel that that I should apologize for Mitch.
I know he's not much better sometimes but unfortunately the last election it was between him and a flaming lib.

Well, he and Collins are up for reelection in 2 years.  Both states need to find someone to run against them in the primary.  That is where a change needs to be made.

I thought McConnell wasn't running again. The guy has Biden level mental deterioration so it's hard to imagine that he could run a campaign.

No official decision apparently. He should have retired at the last election, at least.  Let's hope he has a moment of clarity and chooses to retire.  He'll be 84 by the 2026 election I think.  Even if he was all there still at that age folks shouldn't be running for office, they should be enjoying time with their family.
