Store bought meatballs

K Frame:
I love meatballs, but I absolutely abhor making meatballs.

The other week my local grocery had 64 ounce bags of Mama Lucia's Italian-style bite sized meatballs on sale for $10.

Figured I'd give them a try and if I didn't really like them I'd throw them into a highly flavored soup.

Well, these things are REALLY good, and at $2.50 a pound they're cheaper than what I can make at home.

I've had them with gnocchi, I've thrown them into ramen, and I'm going to make a meatball vegetable soup this weekend, I think.

These are going to be a staple in my freezer.

Don't forget spaghetti and meatballs and meatball sandwiches.

I'll have to give them a try if they're available locally.

We get bags of meatballs from Sam's, keeping them around for snacking and occasional party offerings. I think they are Bartacchi or something like that. Having no experience beyond those, I'm not sure I'd know a "good" meatball from a ho-hum one.

Our Meijer store made meatballs are really good too.  Gret for spaghetti and meat ball samiches.

I'm actually not a huge spaghetti fan. Other pasta shapes, yes, but for some reason I don't much care for spaghetti, linguini, etc.

I do make an exception for angle hair/capellini, but I don't eat that that often, either. Generally only during the holidays when I make it with shrimp scampi.
