Good lord is it beautiful here today. Mid 60s, sunny, breezy, incredible cloudy sky, and tons and tons of trees having sex in our noses...

Ha-ha-haaaaa.  Deserves a belly laugh.  Will steal.

Thanks on the pesticide info, Bogie and BobR.

I've got about half a liter of the stuff I bought in like the early nineties for something and it's been floating along with me since then.

Every time I come across it under the kitchen sink, I say "Oh, *expletive deleted*it, I gotta get rid of this" but I scaredy-catty decide to postpone it.

Aftert two big paragraphs full of dire warnings, the instructions say to dispose of an empty or partially full container, you should wrap it in severals layers of newpaper and dispose of it in the trash.

Maaaannnn, am I uncomfortable with that idea.

Speaking of pesticides...

When we cleaned out my Grandfather's garage after he died in 1982 we found a big, crusty, nasty gallon jug, the kind that vinegar used to come in, full of DDT oil.
MAGA unto others as you would have them MAGA unto you!

Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring—it was peace. — Milan Kundera

The gift which I am sending you is called a dog, and is in fact the most precious and valuable possession of mankind

My G-d !  You could hold the whole earth hostage with that!

"I want ten billion in small bills left by the water fountain in Sczlanik Park in Budapest at noon tomorrow or I'll spill this in the street  I'll be watching.  Don't call the cops or Greenpeace!"

I've often tossed it back and forth in my head as to how many people ultimately died as a result of the publication of "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson.
