Since I'm not Roman Catholic, I have no dog in the fight. Nonetheless, I think I'd prefer to see the papacy go to someone more in the mold of John Paul II. Francis had good intentions, but at heart he was a communist and didn't adhere very closely to Roman Catholic theology.

He appointed them, so... they're going to elect him Zombie Pope?

I'm not sure what you're saying.

Of the cardinals who were eligible to vote and who elected Francis, I believe that something like 99% of them had been appointed by John Paul II.

Now that was a stacked deck. But what he was stacking it for... No clue.
