Simpsons 7-Eleven (err&) Kwik-E-Mart in my neighborhood

So Im driving along and notice this huge crowd outside the 7-Eleven that I sometimes frequent.  Except the sign was different.  Oh, it changed ownership?  So what?  A crowd for that?  Then I realized what had happened.  This is one of the stores that was transformed in honor of the Simpsons movie.

Its pretty cute, although I didnt stand in the long line to get in.  I just peeked in the window, and later came across these photos that someone posted.

Maybe they just realized that they couldn't get the quality of a cheap beer lower than the Budweiser and other corn-and-rice swill that already exists.  cheesy

Actually, if I was doing the campaign, I'd do it like "Acme Brewery (who is actually going to make the beer, and just relabel it) is happy to announce its acquisition of the Duff Brewery." You could probably get a lot of miles out of it...

Stuffed shirt talking about the beer, and a CGI Homer runs across the set, grabs the display, etc., etc...

It's almost as if some weenie said "Hey, what can we do to louse up this promotion and rein in our success . . . "

Seriously.  I went looking for Duff.  I found Squishies and Buzz Cola.
