Jamis - great!  You have some beaut' scenery to ride in.

It'd be good if folks would post pics around 50-60k size - which is usually plenty enough - even for 700 pix max I usually post.  True dial-up is not fun with this heavyweight material!

Nope, thats the time of day.
Tongue
That route on that day is a 35ish miler.  I've had that computer for about 2 months and have 970 miles on it.  That doesn't count mountain biking, performed on another bike.

Mid State Cruisers in Atascadero this weekend

This the county Sheriff's armored vehicle

Interesting note: Both CHP and the local PD carry 870's AND AR's in their vehicles. That's new.

Went out back to pick so berries with the wife , turns out some of them had a quite effective guard ! shocked

Took a ride up to the the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Hiked up to the top of the mountain, a place called "Buzzard's Roost"

And, as luck would have it, there was a buzzard up there

Saw a colorful farmhouse on the way

And got 43.81 mpg

Yeah... Atascadero PD has been carrying ARs for a few years now. Officers with ARs dragged a kid out of my classroom last year. Seems pretty militaristic for such a small town... I saw an officer with an X26 taser the other day. There's also too friggin many of them here.

Here's a blimp that passed over the house 10 minutes ago. I have no idea what it's advertising, if anything.

Hehe - Riley - your guess is as good as mine!!  Great pic tho!  Cheerios perhaps?? Cheesy

I have not long been back from a great bike run - wonderful early fall weather too - all day and also into evening with excellent fireworks.  Here are some pics to show some ''flavor'' - first is this great lil kid on his small electric powered bike - boy, is he gonna get his Harley as soon as he's old enough!!!

Other two, from this evening - coupla guys burnin 'out - always guaranteed to please the crowds tho heck - I couldn't waste my rear tire that way!

Hey everyone...Some of you are darn good photographers.

As some may have read, I bought a new dSLR recently.  I'm still learning the post processing of RAW photos, but I think this pic represents an accurate digital reproduction. It's a painting my father did for my house. As soon as I figure out how to do sunsets correctly, I'll post some more.

I know it's not summer oriented, but I'm just looking for some feedback.

Enjoy.

Ed

Edit: Added the second photo which I took today. I think the black and white enhanced the feeling of this photo.

Good stuff Ed - I used to work B/W stuff and still find it a very satisfying genre.  Nice painting too!

Ed - I like it a lot - it has a sorta monochrome look - but like sepia and this for me works very nicely.  Good pic.  Guess on reflection you did ''sepia it''!!!  It works well. Smiley

I had some fun flying at weekend so - still summer - some pics.

First is my own four ''toys'' then - a mega toy - Hanger 9 Sukoi - 33% I think - gas powered and flies beautifully.  Made better by the guy flying being a real expert - great to watch.  Several knife-edge and inverted flights right down strip only just off the ground.

Jefnvk,
The Jampot.  A retail bakery outlet of an Eastern Rite monastary overlooking Superior on a road north out of Hancock heading to Copper Harbor.  Might be a county road along the western side of the Keeweenau.  The Brothers sell jams, juices, candies, fruitcakes and cakes liberaly dosed with brandy.  I went there once when swmbo and I were on our annual October anniversary jaunt in the UP.  I ate so much of their stuff I turned into an inebriated pimple.

So I got a photobucket account, read all that stuff and am just as stumped as before.
There has to be a simpler way to post a pic on the thread.  I have printer/scanner.  Is there not some simple way to scan a photo and paste it on this thread?

Ah, now I know what you speak of.  Been past it a few times, keep meaning to stop, but haven't yet.

As for the pics, I don't think there is an easy upload pic feature here like on THR.

Dick - if you have a Photobucket account now it should be easy.  Each pic you have stored/hosted will have a unique URL (address) - and that should be findable by either right clicking on the pic, to view properties or maybe even it'll be available some other way.

Once you have the pic URL - place that here between ''img'' tages - using ''[]'' these brackets.  To dummy up a spoof link I'll use curly braces. --
