Ya mean there's corruption in big government contracts?  Say it isn't so!!

True, but it's rare (hopefully) to have US military personnel interrogate US citizens for exposing corruption and for attempting to remove weapons from the hands of insurgents.  Torturing US citizens is and should be illegal.  If I were the IG, those interrogators would be behind bars.

It is illegal.  Google the Intelligence Oversight Program sometime.

It's been illegal to spy on U.S. persons since at least 1975.

Don't ask me how I know. Wink

If the possibility of corruption were reason not to do something, then nothing would ever get done.  Ever.

Likewise, if the possibility of failure was reason not to try, then nothing would ever be attempted.  What a miserable world that would be.

If you could suspend basic human nature, then maybe things could be different.  Gimme a call when you figure out how to do that.

Exactly.  Humans are so completely flawed it's pointless to seek excellence or value integrity because those qualities are unattainable.   rolleyes

But I'm sure we'd never spy on another country's citizens and share the information with said country, and have it recipricated.
