This is one of the funniest threads I've ever read in my entire life.

I have several MREs in my pickup truck.  If we get a bad blizzard or storm, or other conditions that cause me to be stranded out in the countryside for a bit, I'm cool with mucking down some of my favorite Maple Nut bars, as well as the other stuff in those pouches.  My wife has a few in her car, too, just in case.   grin

MRE's are a lot like dwarf bread from discworld.  You're away from real food, so you take a look at the MRE, and suddenly you're not so hungry anymore...

As for the original question, constipation is indeed the most common complaint.

We always referred to the belated MRE evacuation as "Giving Birth".  Both due to volume and amount of pain.   shocked
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Back in my dad's poorer days he somehow got a bunch of MREs from some guy...whole box full.
We pretty much lived off them for a while, fun times. Cheesy

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.

charby, I laughed so hard reading your post that now my chest hurts. Serving stuff like that then telling her what you fed her ranks as cruel and unusual punishment. You are lucky she still speaks to you.  grin

It wasn't Charby's story.  He was just passing it along.

I'd read that same story several years ago.  It's almost Internet Urban Legend these days. Wink
