Only 78.26% for Ron Paul?

Why do you hate Ron Paul and America so much, Nico?  laugh

Nah, sounds like a buffer overflow error - it went so negative the computer's reporting a positive number.

Texas Representative Ron Paul (R)
96.67% match

I don't think I actually agree with him that much. May be because I selected so many 'unsures' because the issues were multi-faceted.

Brownback came in distant second with 66.6% which has to be some sort of sign. grin I think he dropped out anyways, didn't he?

That's how I felt too.  The questions were too broad and phrased things in a way that gave them a political spin.

like "abortion rights."  I don't think abortion should be outlawed, but I don't agree with either of their descriptions either:
Quote
Yes: Support Abortion Rights

In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe vs. Wade that the Constitution protects a woman's decision whether to terminate her pregnancy.

You support the Supreme Court's ruling or similar interpretations concerning a woman's right to choose an abortion.
No: Against Abortion Rights

An unborn fetus is a human being. Therefore, some argue that on legal grounds terminating a pregnancy is illegal, just as murder is illegal. Others argue on religious or ethical grounds that because an unborn fetus is a human being, it is immoral to destroy it.

You support this or similar arguments.

The same is true for most of the questions.

California Representative Duncan Hunter (R)
85.37% match

Your Other Top Matches
Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 82.93%
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) - 73.17%
Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson (R) - 70.73%

How the heck did I get Romney ahead of Thompson?....

This is a pretty crude test, but better than nothing and it will get some folks thinking, "Hmm, maybe I ought to look at Candidate X more closely..."

I am not surprised that Tancedo & Hunter were my top two.

I suspect Romney scores so high because it takes his current positions at face value.

There is no way I would prefer Huck over Thompson in the voting booth.

I feel dirty for having an 18% overlap with Hillary.

One thing of note: There is much more variability (50% vs 16%)  in the Republican candidates than the Democrat candidates.  The "Big Tent" is to be found in the Republican party, nowadays.  They have everything from a cross-dressing pro-torture, pro-war gun-grabber to a Baptist preacher to an almost Libertarian.  It seems lockstep ideology is found on the Left, these days.

Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo (R) - 92.21% match

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) - 76.62%
Kansas Senator Sam Brownback (R) - 71.43%
Businessman John Cox (R) - 71.43%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) - 71.43%
Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson (R) - 68.83%
Texas Representative Ron Paul (R) - 64.94%
Arizona Senator John McCain (R) - 63.64%
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) - 42.86%
New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson (D) - 26.62%

I seem to recall a quote....Something like...

"There's not a dime's worth of difference between the democrat and republican parties"

Was that George Wallace or Waylon Jennings?

Ron Paul. Hard to say whether that is 100%; I have not heard him say or read anything stated or written by him that I disagree with so far.

I can't say I've ever heard or read anything Ron Paul has said that I disagree with either.

My match was Ron Paul @ 83.33%.

Other top matches:

Mike Gravel 75.00% (Who BTW I'm ashamed he ever called himself Alaskan.)
John Cox 70.83%
Fred Thompson 70.83%

The rest of the mooks in the running started with McStain @ 62.50% and went down hill from there. Hitlery was dead last.

Which 2008 Presidential Candidate Agrees With You?

http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html

Top match:
Fred Thompson       86.96%

Other top matches:
Ron Paul                83.70%
Tom Tancredo        80.43%
Sam Brownback      73.91%

Bottom of the barrel:
Hillary Clinton         21.74%
Chris Dodd             20.65%
John Edwards         13.04%
Dennis Kucinich       10.87%

"Bottom of the barrel" is right!    Although I'm surprised that the match for Kucinich is in double digits.  Broken clocks . . . twice a day . . . etc.
