Tonight's dinner
« on: December 04, 2007, 05:43:29 PM »
Roast beef, carrots, and onions in the pressure cooker.  Boiled potatoes.  Steamed broccoli.  Gravy made from the roast beef juice and left over onions.  Cheese sauce for the broccoli made with butter, flour, milk, sharp cheese, a small drop of mustard, and some paprika.
Man I love cooking.

I'd made haddock chowder with Maine potatoes. Eaten with brown bread and strong black coffee.

IS NEW ENGLAND WINTER FOOD.  grin

Seriously, it warms you up enough to go back out in the bitter cold with a pea-coat on and throw a whale over a boat or something, whatever they did back then.

Pan-fried sirloin pork chops rubbed with saz?n and a touch of Emeril's Essence, deglazed with butter and sherry and a pan gravy, mashed potatoes, okra and tomatoes, and greens.

Steak Burrito from Poncheros, I wanted to cook but I had to fix my SUV, damn right rear brake got all chewed up because the pin on the caliper carry froze up. Have to wait until tomorrow to get a new carrier in. Damn GMC engineers.
