What a *expletive deleted*bag. I don't ever want my taxes going toward paying of a student's education loans that they volunteered to take on, yet here we are!

On another place I visit someone mentioned that they were 50 years old and this is the first time they saw the Aurora Australis and was wondering what caused them.

By far the most entertaining and surprisingly accurate answer was: It is the sun farting and the earth's atmosphere getting dutch ovened.

It somehow works.

Then goes on to blame man made global warming for the glacier retreating

"For about two centuries now, our use of fossil fuels has been releasing greenhouse gases into the air, mainly carbon dioxide and methane.
As a result, the atmosphere is holding in more heat from the sun, raising the planet's average temperature and causing glaciers such as Theodul to melt away."

They also conveniently ignore the fact that back then the ONLY source of energy (for heating and for cooking) was either fossil fuels (coal) or wood -- i.e. burning stuff to make heat.

Why does it not surprise me that he's doing the "old guy in Thailand" thing?

Soi Cowboy, Pat Pong, down the road to Pattaya Beach, what is there to dislike? And those are just the "clean" places, the underbelly of Bangkok is very nasty indeed! If I were single and living the good life Thailand would be near the top of places I would live.

So, what's different that your computer getting 300 Noto fonts, and mine under 20?

Don't know. I'll have to check one of the seldom-used computers for Noto fonts, then install or update LibreOffice and see if there's any change. And also check to see if there's an option to NOT install those fonts, but I'm pretty certain that's not addressed in the custom installation settings.

Hmmm...  I'm not enjoying it as much as everyone else seems to be.  Bought eight episodes on Amazon for ten ducats.  Watched two so far.  Mildly amusing in places.  The first season was hilarious, the second was quite funny.  This third season is just meh so far to me.  The alien fish out of water schtick isn't holding up, instead getting a little old.
On that note, word is that SyFy is not going to renew for a fourth season.  It may go to USA Network or possibly Netflix.  If it does move, it's budget is likely to be cut by $500,000 per episode.
