This was the first rally I've gone to.  Couldn't do so before because I was in uniform serving in the Air Force.  Now that I'm out of uniform, I can and will voice my concerns to the Government.  My 21 year old daughter went with me and she loved it.  She learned alot today.  We both did.  Met ALOT of nice people and had several good discussions on the things going on in Congress.  Tried to get in to see our representative but was unsucessful.  From what the news has reported, some others did get to see their congress critters.

After the rally, we visited the American Indian museum and walked around a bit.  All in all it was a good day with the exception of rush our traffic.  That sucked!

Uh.  I never knew there was a total ban on political activism while in the service.  So far as I know, you just can't do it while literally "in uniform."

If you're a lifer it might be a bad idea to get too vocal about your issues with the CiC.

Too many flags and posters, not enough torches, pitchforks, buckets of tar, and feathers.....
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
