I've got some extra vacation time so I'm thinking on taking Thursday off to march on the Capital building and join Mark Levin and John Voight at noon on the steps of the Capital building.  They are calling it "Operation Housecall".

Heard it mentioned on Hannity and read it on Michelle Malkin's website.  My 21 year old daughter is of that day too and she's wanting to go and experience it so why not.

Anyone else going?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Thanks for the offer.  I'm only a bit over an hour away so we'll make it a 1 day affair.

I'd like to go, but this is not a week I can miss a day at work.

Why couldn't they do this on the weekend like all the other good conservative rallies?  Do they think we're all welfare slugs or something?

(Yes, yes, I know why it's really being done on Thursday.)

Says Thursday, which would be the 4th I presume?  I can't make it.

This feels like late 2007 all over again. Except without the pictures of Mark Emery's wife in lingerie.

I must have missed that...

Ya know, I almost think it'd be fun to put on a wookie suit and go to a Paulian protest some time.  It'd give me a chance to gawk at the crazy from the inside.  And with the suit on nobody would know it was me, so I wouldn't have to admit to doing it afterwards.

I know where to get in touch with the original wookie-suit guy. Should I put you in touch? :D

OK, they idea of using someone else's wookiee suit does not appeal.

How about a hat and some sunglasses?  Sounds a lot less...sweaty.

Besides, I roamed through some wild-lefty protests in college and am none the worse for wear.  I doubt Paulistas are any more dangerous.
